Greetings from Major of Murcia

The promotion of sport has always been a major goal for the Governing Team of Murcia Townhall. The celebration of relevant sporting events is becoming a common practice in our city, and this is something that makes us feel great pride and satisfaction. With the arrival of the 51st World Roller Figure Skating Championships to our city, the capital of the Region of Murcia will become the world’s skating epicentre, and we’ll sure offer each visitor and competitor the best of our land’s hospitality, culture and tradition.

We are going to host with privilege the important competitions that will take place in Murcia Sports Palace from November 27th to December 10th, where we will witness the performances of the best figure skating stars.

As the Major of Murcia, I want to express my sincere thanks to all those who, actively and unselfishly, take part in the organization of this event. They are contributing to promote sport, and particularly figure skating, among young people from all over the world. I wish each and every competitor best of triumphs. Welcome all!
