Mascot & Logo

ÑICO is the official mascot of the Championship.

In Murcia, we often use the suffix "ico" as part of our popular jargon in a affectionate or loving way to call people or things. In this way, "ico" is added to many words such as in "bonico", "nenico", "poquico", etc. Letter Ñ was added to this suffix since it is the most typical letter in the spanish alphabet. The ñ does not exist in Latin and is the only spanish letter of spanish origins.

ÑICO will encourage skaters and entertain spectators throughout the Championship.

Our logo design is a simple form which tries to blend together evolution and movement.

The red and yellow colors represent Spain; the shade of brown is the color of the land in the "Huerta Murciana" (Murcia agricultural countryside); the other color of the shade is Cartagena red, which is maroon, color of the flag of Murcia.

The emblem also represents the roller skating wheels and it adds a sense of speed. Its linearity and simplicity exalt the modernity of Murcia, resembling the Calatrava's bridges over the Segura river. This mixture of tradition and modernism will be the main identifying signs of the Championship.
